IGA, one of Australia’s leading supermarket chains, required an efficient and reliable solution to manage the high volume of cardboard waste generated across its stores. Managing packaging waste at multiple locations was challenging, with frequent collections and back-of-house clutter affecting staff workflow and operational efficiency.

Elephants Foot supplied and installed vertical balers at multiple IGA stores across the country. At Lloyds IGA in Newtown, an EF300 Baler was installed, allowing staff to quickly compact cardboard on-site, reducing collection frequency and maintaining a cleaner, more organised back-of-house area. Other stores received balers suitable to their needs, supporting IGA’s nationwide commitment to sustainability and streamlined operations.
