Aveo Bella Vista Haven Stage 1B and 2 is a retirement living development delivered by Growthbuilt within Sydney’s north‑west growth corridor. Designed to support independent and assisted living within a master‑planned community, the project required a safe, accessible and fully compliant waste management solution tailored to aged living environments.
To meet these requirements, Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed a centralised eDiverter chute system servicing Ground through Level 10. The system comprises 11 vertical runs of 510mm galvanised steel chute pipes, providing controlled waste transfer while maintaining durability, fire compliance and long‑term reliability.
Each level is fitted with fire‑rated, self‑closing eDiverter intake doors, ensuring safe and user‑friendly resident access. A minor mid‑level offset at Ground level was engineered to suit structural coordination requirements while maintaining a predominantly straight vertical chute alignment through the upper floors.
An integrated vent and wash‑down cleaning system was installed at Level 10 to support airflow management, odour control and internal chute hygiene, critical considerations in retirement and healthcare‑focused environments.
At Basement Level 01, the discharge configuration includes a medium offset to the eDiverter stream feeding into structured 1100L MGB handling systems. The installation incorporates:
• A linear track system with compactor to suit 2 x 1100L MGB (waste)
• A linear track system to suit 2 x 1100L MGB (recycling)
This arrangement enhances bin capacity, reduces manual handling and improves servicing efficiency within the discharge room.
To further support resident comfort, the acoustic specification required Embelton NRD isolation mounts to ceiling‑mounted equipment within the discharge room, reducing vibration and structure‑borne noise transfer, an important feature in aged living environments where occupant wellbeing is paramount.
The completed installation forms part of the development’s broader apartment waste management infrastructure, delivering a safe, hygienic and operationally efficient solution tailored to retirement living.
