eDiverter Waste and Recycling Chute System Installation

The Landmark is a landmark luxury mixed-use residential development by J Hutchinson, located at 500-520 Pacific Highway, St Leonards NSW, approximately 5km north of the Sydney CBD on Sydney’s Lower North Shore. The development’s high-rise configuration and premium mixed-use character required a space-efficient waste management solution with integrated compaction and carousel equipment to support high-volume waste room operations at basement level.

Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed an eDiverter chute system in 600mm galvanised steel across 39 chute pipe levels, with 39 fire-rated self-closing stainless steel eDiverter intake doors installed at every operational level. Bypass configurations were incorporated across six lower levels and two additional access panels were installed at selected levels. The discharge room is located at basement 1, fitted with a carousel compactor system to suit four 660L waste MGBs and a carousel system to suit five 240L recycling MGBs.

A vent and wash-down cleaning system was installed at the top of the shaft, discharging through to roof level above to support airflow management, odour control, and internal chute hygiene throughout the building.
