To meet these requirements, Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed a dedicated dual residential waste and recycling chute system, enabling efficient vertical waste transfer across all building levels. The system incorporates durable 510mm galvanised steel chute pipes configured in straight vertical runs from Lower Ground through Level 4, helping reduce blockages, improve material flow, and minimise long‑term maintenance requirements.
Each level is fitted with fire‑rated, self‑closing waste and recycling chute intake doors featuring upgraded smoke seals to enhance building fire safety performance while providing secure and user‑friendly resident access. At the uppermost level, integrated vent and wash‑down cleaning systems support airflow, odour management, and chute hygiene, ensuring reliable day‑to‑day operation under regular residential use.
At basement level, waste and recycling streams discharge via Type‑A bottom discharge arrangements designed to suit future bin requirements, while an EF Neutralizer odour management unit assists in maintaining a clean and controlled discharge room environment.
