The Ashford, a premium residential development by Deicorp, is located in the heart of Castle Hill’s Showground precinct and comprises 272 luxury apartments across multiple buildings. Developed with architectural design by Turner Studio, the project demanded a robust and scalable waste management system to serve high-density living while maintaining hygiene and operational efficiency.

Elephants Foot was engaged to design, supply, and install 6 dual chute systems across four buildings. The systems covered 110 chute pipe levels with 104 intake hoppers and doors, complemented by signage for safe and clear resident use.

Custom linear compactor systems were installed to suit 1,100L MGBs, addressing space constraints in basement discharge rooms. Integrated ventilation and wash-down systems at upper levels ensured odour control and easy maintenance, while Type ‘A’ bottom discharge chutes streamlined waste and recycling disposal.

By combining durability, hygiene, and efficiency, Elephants Foot delivered a solution that optimises operational performance for building managers and enhances living conditions for residents.
