Elephants Foot Chute Solutions partnered with ALAND to deliver multiple waste chute systems for Costello, a multi-building residential development in Edmondson Park. Comprising 178 apartments across three six-storey buildings, the project required reliable and efficient chute systems to manage waste for residents.

Each building was equipped with a single chute system built from 510mm galvanised steel pipes. Across the three buildings, a total of 18 fire-rated, self-closing Chute Doors were installed with compliant signage, ensuring safe and accessible waste disposal points.

At the rooftop level of each building, a vent and wash-down cleaning system was installed, discharging through open air to maintain hygiene and odour control. In the upper basement discharge rooms, each chute system was completed with a Type A Bottom Discharge Attachment configured to suit 660L MGBs.

The systems were designed as straight vertical runs, ensuring reliable performance with minimal maintenance while meeting NSW multi-residential building standards.
