Jordan Springs Tavern is a hospitality development delivered by FDC Construction & Fitout within the growing Jordan Springs residential precinct. Designed to support food and beverage operations with high daily patron traffic, the venue required a robust and practical waste management solution capable of handling food waste, packaging, and general waste streams while maintaining hygiene and staff safety.
Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed a custom commercial waste intake solution tailored specifically for back‑of‑house hospitality use. The scope included the supply and installation of custom self‑closing side‑hinged intake doors installed through wall openings to support controlled waste transfer from internal service areas to collection points.
Two custom 1000 x 1000mm intake doors were manufactured to suit the site layout and operational needs of the venue. The self‑closing design helps maintain separation between service areas and waste rooms, supporting hygiene, odour control, and safe day‑to‑day operations within a busy hospitality environment.
As the intake doors were custom‑sized, final dimensions were confirmed by Elephants Foot’s design team to ensure manufacturability and long‑term durability. While fire‑rating certification is not available for this custom door size, the solution was designed to meet the functional and operational requirements of a high‑use hospitality venue.
The completed intake door installation provides a practical, low‑maintenance solution that supports efficient waste handling, staff safety, and smooth back‑of‑house operations for a modern hospitality venue within a rapidly growing residential precinct.
