Lord Howe Island plant facility adopts baling solution to optimise recycling of cardboard and plastics

Waste management on Lord Howe Island presents unique challenges due to its remote location and limited waste transport opportunities. The island’s plant facility was managing increasing volumes of cardboard and soft plastics, which were difficult to store and costly to ship for recycling.

Elephants Foot provided a robust Vertical Baler EF300 capable of compressing these recyclables into dense, transportable bales. The compact unit’s durability and straightforward operation make it ideal for isolated sites where reliability is essential and maintenance opportunities are limited.
