Elephants Foot Chute Solutions designed and installed a specialized eDiverter waste chute system for Hutchinson Builders’ prestigious Belvedere Apartment development in Main Beach. This 24-floor luxury complex comprises 127 high-end residences ranging from two-bedroom apartments to premium penthouses, requiring an equally sophisticated waste management solution.
The system features 610mm diameter galvanised steel chute pipes running through 23 levels, fabricated to Elephants Foot Chute Solutions’ precise specifications. All straight sections below the first intake level and any offset/bypass sections use heavy-duty galvanised steel construction to withstand coastal conditions. The installation includes 23 marine-coated fire-rated hopper doors with 2-hour fire resistance and medium-temperature smoke seals, combining safety with Main Beach’s marine environment requirements.
At the discharge level, the system incorporates a custom eDiverter discharge unit configured for TBCL mobile garbage bins, along with an EF Neutralizer for odour control. The design includes a reusable 610mm slab penetration ring former for future maintenance access, demonstrating the project’s forward-thinking approach.
