Balfour Place Lindfield is a residential development delivered by Builtcom Construction in Sydney’s Upper North Shore corridor. Located above a major transport and retail route, the project required a robust and compliant waste solution to support daily residential use while maintaining safety, hygiene, and operational efficiency.
Elephants Foot Chute Solutions delivered a centralised waste system incorporating durable Chute Systems engineered for medium density residential environments. The solution included fire rated Chute Doors at each level to control fire and smoke spread, supporting building compliance and resident safety.
Ground level waste handling was managed through compliant Discharge Attachments with minor offsets, allowing efficient bin positioning and clear access within constrained service rooms. Integrated odour control was achieved through a combination of ventilation and wash down infrastructure, aligned with Elephants Foot’s proven Odour Management approach.
The completed system improves waste flow, reduces blockages, and supports consistent waste handling across multiple cores, contributing to long term building performance and reduced maintenance requirements.
