Asquith Residential Development - Waste Chute System

Asquith is a multi residential development located along the Pacific Highway corridor in Sydney’s northern suburbs. Delivered by Hofly Constructions, the project provides modern apartment living within a well connected urban precinct designed to support long term functionality, efficient building operations, and resident amenity.

Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed a compliant 510mm galvanised steel waste chute system designed to support efficient vertical waste transfer across multiple residential levels. The system services operational intake points from Ground to Level 4, enabling residents to dispose of waste safely while improving waste handling efficiency for building management.

Each intake level is fitted with fire‑rated stainless steel hopper doors to ensure compliance with Australian building standards and maintain safe operation throughout the building. Clear chute door signage was installed to support appropriate waste disposal practices and assist with ongoing building management.

The chute system operates as a straight vertical run without offsets or transfers, allowing reliable gravity waste flow while minimising long term maintenance requirements. An integrated vent and wash‑down cleaning system was installed above the top service level to support airflow management, odour control, and ongoing hygiene performance within the chute shaft.

Waste collected through the chute system is discharged to the Basement 1 waste room through a splitter discharge configuration designed to suit 660L MGB bins. This configuration allows waste to be directed efficiently into collection bins while supporting organised waste room operations.
