
Elephants Foot Chute Solutions worked with Cobild to deliver a Dual Chute System for 250 Albert Street, an exclusive East Melbourne residential project. The development comprises fifteen luxury residences and a two-storey penthouse, designed in collaboration with fjcstudio, SJB, and NBLA.
The installation included 12 galvanised steel chute pipe levels, configured to provide safe and efficient separation of general waste and recycling. Each chute was fitted with six fire-rated, self-closing Chute Doors for waste and six for recycling, with full signage for compliance and user guidance.
At the rooftop level, dual odour management systems were installed with vents and flushing sprays, discharging into open air to maintain system hygiene and indoor comfort. The ground-floor discharge room was fitted with minor-offset discharge attachments, configured to suit a 1100L bin for waste and a 660L bin for recycling.
This tailored solution provided a total of 12 chute pipe levels with enhanced fire safety, odour control, and efficient waste stream separation, an essential infrastructure addition supporting the high-end residential offering at 250 Albert Street.
