Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed a compliant 510mm galvanised steel eDiverter chute system designed to support efficient vertical waste management within the building. The system allows residents to dispose of both general waste and recycling through a single chute while automatically directing materials to the correct bin at discharge level.
The installation services 11 operational intake levels from Level 2 to Level 12, with Level 1 configured as a bypass level. Each service level is fitted with fire‑rated self‑closing intake doors designed to maintain safety compliance while supporting convenient resident waste disposal.
The chute runs vertically through the building without offsets, ensuring reliable gravity flow and reducing long‑term maintenance requirements. An integrated vent and wash‑down cleaning system was installed at the top service level to support airflow management, odour control, and internal hygiene within the chute shaft.
Waste and recycling streams are separated automatically through the eDiverter mechanism before discharging into 1100L MGB bins within the Ground level waste room. This configuration allows efficient bin management while supporting organised waste room operations for building management.
