Marigold Projects is a medium to high‑density residential development delivered by Buildview Corp along Sydney’s southern transport corridor. Positioned on a major retail and commuter strip, the project required a reliable, centralised waste management solution capable of servicing daily resident volumes while maintaining compliance, efficiency and long‑term operational performance.
To support these requirements, Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed two dedicated residential waste chute systems, each servicing Ground through Level 06. Together, the installation incorporates 14 vertical runs of durable 510mm galvanised steel chute pipes, engineered for fire compliance, structural integrity and consistent internal waste flow.
Each level is fitted with fire‑rated, self‑closing waste chute intake doors, providing safe and convenient resident access while maintaining building compartmentation requirements. The vertical chute runs are predominantly straight, ensuring efficient waste transfer from upper floors to the basement discharge rooms.
At Level 06 within each core, an integrated vent and wash‑down cleaning system supports airflow management, odour control and chute hygiene, enhancing long‑term system reliability in a high‑occupancy residential environment.
Both chute systems discharge at Basement Level 01 via minor offset configurations into bin handling areas suited to MGB collection (bin size TBC). This configuration allows efficient servicing access while maintaining clear separation of waste streams within the basement waste management zone.
The completed installation forms part of the development’s broader apartment waste management infrastructure, delivering a compliant and operationally efficient solution tailored to medium and high‑density apartment living in Rockdale.
