Antara Living is a medium to high‑density residential development delivered by Decode Sydney within the Sydney Olympic Park precinct. Positioned in a major mixed‑use corridor with strong transport connectivity, the project required a dependable and compliant waste management solution capable of servicing daily resident volumes across multiple levels while maintaining operational efficiency and long‑term performance.
To meet these requirements, Elephants Foot supplied Chute Solutions and installed a dedicated residential waste chute system servicing Building 2 from Level 00 through to Level 14. The system incorporates 15 vertical runs of durable 510mm galvanised steel chute pipes, engineered to provide consistent internal waste flow, structural integrity, and fire compliance within a high‑rise residential environment.
Each operational floor from Levels 01 to 14 is fitted with fire‑rated, self‑closing waste chute intake doors, ensuring safe and convenient resident access while maintaining compartmentation and building code compliance. A ground‑level bypass arrangement at Level 00 was incorporated to suit architectural planning and service coordination.
An integrated vent and wash‑down cleaning system was installed at Level 14, assisting with airflow management, odour control, and internal chute hygiene. This feature supports consistent system performance and is particularly important in transport‑connected urban developments where occupancy levels and waste volumes remain high.
At Basement Level 01, waste discharges through a medium offset configuration into a linear compactor system designed to suit two 660L MGBs. This arrangement improves bin capacity, reduces collection frequency, and enhances servicing efficiency within the basement discharge room.
Together, the installation forms part of a coordinated apartment waste management infrastructure, purpose‑built to support high‑rise living in Sydney Olympic Park while ensuring compliance, durability, and long‑term operational reliability.
