Adina Towers – Tower B Waste Chute System

Adina Towers – Tower B is a medium to high‑density residential development delivered by Heran Construction in Brisbane’s bayside corridor. Positioned close to transport, retail, and waterfront amenities, the project required a dependable waste management solution capable of supporting daily resident use while maintaining compliance, operational efficiency, and long‑term building performance.

To meet these requirements, Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed a dedicated residential waste chute system providing efficient vertical waste transfer from Ground through Level 04, with an additional intake chute extension at roof level. The system incorporates durable 510mm galvanised steel chute pipes, selected for strength, longevity, and consistent internal flow within multi‑storey residential construction.

Each operational level is fitted with fire‑rated, self‑closing waste chute intake doors, ensuring safe and compliant resident access while supporting building fire safety standards. To enhance acoustic performance and minimise structure‑borne noise transmission between apartments, all chute sections—including the roof extension—were upgraded with 55mm foil‑faced glass‑wool acoustic lagging (R1.3).

An integrated vent and wash‑down cleaning system is installed at Level 04, supporting airflow management, odour control, and internal chute hygiene to maintain reliable day‑to‑day operation. At Basement Level 01, waste discharges via a medium‑offset configuration designed to suit future bin size requirements, allowing flexibility within the discharge room layout while maintaining efficient waste flow.

A Premium Shop Drawing Service was provided to support fast‑track delivery, assisting coordination during construction and ensuring timely system integration within the broader building program.

Together, the installation forms part of the building’s broader apartment waste management infrastructure, delivering a compliant, acoustically considered, and low‑maintenance solution tailored to contemporary apartment living in Wynnum.
