Meridian is a contemporary multi residential development located in the centre of Miranda, positioned within a well established retail and transport precinct. Delivered by Alliance Project Group, the project required a high capacity and fully compliant waste infrastructure solution capable of servicing multiple building cores while maintaining operational efficiency and resident amenity.
Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed three independent dual 510mm galvanised steel waste chute systems, providing dedicated waste and recycling streams across Building A (Lift 1 and Lift 2) and Building B (Lift 3). The installation services a total of 46 operational waste and recycling intake levels, enabling consistent and efficient waste transfer in a high density residential environment.
Each chute run was designed as a straight vertical system without offsets or transfers, optimising gravity flow performance and simplifying long term maintenance requirements. Stainless steel, two‑hour fire rated intake doors were installed at every operational level to ensure compliance with NSW building standards and occupant safety requirements.
Ground level discharge rooms were configured with Type A bottom discharge doors to suit 660L MGBs for both waste and recycling streams. Integrated vent and wash‑down cleaning systems were installed above the top service level for each chute, supporting airflow management, hygiene control, and ongoing system reliability.
The completed installation provides Alliance Project Group with a durable and low maintenance vertical waste management solution engineered for long term performance within a high occupancy residential development. The multi core configuration supports streamlined waste room operations, improves waste separation efficiency, and reduces manual handling requirements for building management.
