Kopwa RACF is a purpose‑built residential aged care facility located in Roseville on Sydney’s North Shore. Delivered by Total Special Projects, the development provides specialised accommodation and care services within a carefully planned healthcare environment designed to support operational efficiency, hygiene management, and staff safety.
Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed two dedicated 510mm galvanised steel linen chute systems, designed to support safe and efficient linen handling between levels while reducing manual transport requirements for staff.
The installation services multiple operational intake levels across two building zones, providing structured vertical transfer of used linen to designated discharge areas. Fire‑rated stainless steel intake doors were installed at each service level to ensure compliance with building and healthcare safety standards.
Each chute system operates as a straight vertical run with no offsets or transfers, ensuring reliable gravity flow and minimising long‑term maintenance requirements. Integrated vent and wash‑down cleaning systems, including inline ventilation fans, were installed above the top service level to support airflow management, odour control, and hygiene performance within the chute shafts.
Both chute systems discharge via Type A bottom discharge configurations located within dedicated linen handling areas on the Ground and Basement levels. This configuration supports safe operational workflows for facility staff while maintaining the strict cleanliness and infection‑control standards required in aged care environments.
