Vantage is a luxury residential development by GCB Constructions, located at 20 Executive Drive, Burleigh Waters QLD, in the heart of the Gold Coast’s southern corridor. The development comprises 56 north-facing two and three-bedroom apartments spread across 14 levels, positioned adjacent to Treetops Plaza and within easy reach of Gold Coast beaches, the M1, and major retail and education precincts. As a premium high-density residential tower, the development required a waste management solution capable of servicing the full height of the building efficiently and reliably.
Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed an eDiverter chute system suited to the vertical layout and occupancy requirements of the building. The eDiverter system enables both waste and recycling streams to be managed through a single chute line, with an automated diverter at the base directing material to the correct bin, providing a space-efficient solution well suited to a luxury residential tower where waste room functionality and presentation are important to building operations.
The installation services 13 chute pipe levels spanning levels 2 through 14, with 12 fire-rated self-closing eDiverter intake doors installed at levels 3 through 14. Level 2 incorporates a bypass configuration with no intake hopper fitted, allowing the chute to pass through that level without a door. The chute runs straight up and down throughout the shaft, with the discharge room located at level 1.
The eDiverter discharge system was configured to suit 2m3 bins for both waste and recycling streams, accommodating the high-volume waste output of a 56-apartment tower across 14 levels. This large-format bin configuration supports efficient waste room operations and reduces the frequency of bin changeovers for building management.
A vent and wash-down cleaning system was installed at level 14, discharging through to roof level above to support airflow management, odour control, and internal chute hygiene throughout the full height of the shaft.
The completed installation provides GCB Constructions with a durable, compliant, and low-maintenance waste management solution tailored to the operational demands of Vantage, supporting efficient building operations and a premium residential experience for occupants across the Gold Coast’s southern corridor.
