
Park House Richmond Hill is a boutique luxury residential development by D5 Building Group, located at 268-270 Church Street, Richmond VIC, within the City of Yarra’s heritage-protected Richmond Hill precinct. The development’s premium character and heritage setting required a waste management solution that performs reliably and integrates unobtrusively into the building’s operational infrastructure across multiple levels.
Elephants Foot Chute Solutions was engaged to supply and install an eDiverter chute system tailored to the building’s vertical layout and occupancy requirements. The eDiverter system enables both waste and recycling streams to be managed through a single chute line, with an automated diverter at the base directing material to the correct bin, providing a space-efficient solution well suited to a boutique luxury residential building.
The installation services five chute pipe levels, with five fire-rated self-closing eDiverter intake doors installed at every operational level. A medium mid-level offset was incorporated at mezzanine level to route the chute through the building layout. The discharge room is located at basement 1, fitted with a minor offset discharge configuration to suit a 1,100L MGB.
An odour relief vent and flushing spray system was installed at the top of the chute shaft, discharging through to open air at a maximum of 3,000mm above the head of the chute to support airflow management, odour control, and internal chute hygiene throughout the full height of the shaft.
The completed installation provides D5 Building Group with a durable, compliant, and low-maintenance waste management solution tailored to the boutique luxury character of Park House Richmond Hill, supporting efficient building operations and a refined residential experience for occupants within one of Melbourne’s most storied inner-city precincts.
