Blue at Lavender Bay is an award-winning luxury residential development by Aqualand Construction, located at 61 Lavender Street, Milsons Point NSW, on Sydney’s Lower North Shore directly overlooking Sydney Harbour. The development’s premium harbourside setting and high-rise configuration required a space-efficient and compliant waste management solution with integrated compaction to support high-quality waste room operations at basement level.
Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed an eDiverter chute system in 600mm galvanised steel across 20 chute pipe levels, with 20 fire-rated self-closing stainless steel eDiverter intake doors installed at every operational level. Bypass configurations were incorporated across three lower levels and one additional access panel was installed at basement 2 to support maintenance access. The chute runs straight up and down with no offsets, with the discharge room located at basement 3.
The basement 3 discharge room is fitted with an eDiverter discharge system configured to suit a single 1,100L recycling MGB and an integrated single bin compactor to suit a single 1,100L waste MGB, supporting efficient waste compaction and organised recycling collection within a high-density luxury residential environment. A vent and wash-down cleaning system was installed at the top of the shaft, discharging through to roof level above to support airflow management, odour control, and internal chute hygiene.
