Dual Waste and Recycling Chute System Installation

Glenmore Village is a mixed-use residential development by Beaini Project, located at 90-98 Glenmore Ridge Drive, Glenmore Park NSW, within Western Sydney’s Mulgoa Rise precinct in the Penrith LGA. The development spans six building cores across three building groups, each requiring an individually configured dual waste and recycling chute system to suit its specific layout and discharge arrangement.

Elephants Foot Chute Solutions was engaged to supply and install six dual waste and recycling chute systems across Buildings A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, and C2, providing a combined total of 46 chute pipe levels and 36 fire-rated self-closing intake doors across all operational levels. Buildings A1, B1, B2, C1, and C2 each incorporate bypass configurations at ground floor for both waste and recycling streams, while Building A2 services its chute pipe levels without bypass configurations. Discharge rooms are located at basement level across Buildings A1, B1, B2, C1, and C2, with Building A2 discharging to ground level.

Each building core is fitted with two linear track systems without compactor, one for the waste stream and one for the recycling stream, each configured to suit a 1,100L MGB. The linear track configuration supports efficient bin management and rotation within each waste room, reducing manual handling for building management and supporting well-organised waste room operations across the development.

Vent and wash-down cleaning systems were installed at the top of all 12 chute shafts across all six building cores, discharging through to roof level above to support airflow management, odour control, and internal chute hygiene throughout each shaft.

The completed installation provides Beaini Project with a durable, compliant, and coordinated waste and recycling infrastructure solution suited to the scale and configuration of Glenmore Village, supporting reliable long-term performance across all six building cores within Western Sydney’s Mulgoa Rise precinct.
