Boddington Gardens Stage 1 is a residential townhouse development by Wiser Constructions, located at 17-21 Mason Road, Box Hill NSW, within Sydney’s North West Growth Precinct. The development required a practical and compliant waste management solution capable of servicing two separate garbage rooms across the estate, each with distinct configuration requirements.
Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed a dual waste and recycling chute system across two garbage room locations, each designed to suit the specific layout and operational needs of its respective area. The systems provide efficient waste and recycling transfer, reducing manual handling for building management and supporting well-organised waste room operations across the estate.
Garbage Room 1, located at Driveway 4, was configured as a dual wall hopper system. Rather than a full vertical chute run, this solution incorporates custom wall-mounted discharge points for both the waste and recycling streams, each configured to suit a 1,100L MGB. Fire-rated self-closing intake doors were installed at lower ground level for both waste and recycling streams, providing a compact and compliant waste access solution suited to the ground-level configuration of this garbage room.
Garbage Room 2, located at Driveway 5, was configured as a dual chute system servicing a single intake level at ground floor. Two 510mm galvanised steel chute pipes were installed with fire-rated self-closing intake doors for both waste and recycling streams at ground level. Both intake doors received a marine treatment upgrade to suit the environmental conditions of the installation location. The discharge room is located at lower ground level, with major offset discharge configurations installed for both waste and recycling streams to suit 1,100L MGBs.
Odour relief vent and flushing spray systems were installed at ground level in Garbage Room 2, discharging through to open air at a maximum of 3,000mm above the head of each chute to support airflow management, odour control, and internal chute hygiene across both chute shafts.
The completed installation provides Wiser Constructions with a durable and compliant waste and recycling infrastructure solution tailored to the layout and operational demands of Boddington Gardens Stage 1, supporting reliable long-term performance across both garbage room locations within the estate.
