Bethanie Aged Care Facility is a purpose‑built residential aged care development located in Dalyellup in Western Australia’s South West region. Delivered by BGC Constructions, the facility provides modern accommodation and specialised care services within a carefully planned healthcare environment designed to support resident wellbeing, staff efficiency, and long term operational performance.
Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed dedicated 510mm galvanised steel chute systems designed to support efficient internal waste and linen handling within the facility. The installation provides separate vertical transfer streams to support operational workflows within the aged care environment while reducing manual handling requirements for staff.
Fire‑rated self‑closing intake hopper doors were installed at each service level, allowing safe disposal while maintaining compliance with Australian building standards. Clear signage was also installed to support proper use of the chute systems and assist facility staff with day‑to‑day operational management.
Each chute system runs vertically without offsets, allowing reliable gravity flow while minimising long term maintenance requirements. Integrated vent and wash‑down cleaning systems were installed above the intake levels to assist with airflow management, odour control, and hygiene performance within the chute shafts — an essential requirement for healthcare facilities.
Both chute systems discharge at Ground level through eDiverter discharge units designed to suit mobile garbage bins. The eDiverter configuration allows controlled waste stream management while supporting organised discharge operations within the facility’s service areas.
