Delivered by Chihacorp, the project provides modern apartment living designed to complement the surrounding coastal environment while supporting efficient building operations and long‑term asset performance.
Elephants Foot Chute Solutions supplied and installed a compliant 510mm galvanised steel eDiverter chute system engineered to support efficient waste management within the multi‑residential building. The system allows residents to dispose of both general waste and recycling through a single chute while automatically directing waste streams into the appropriate bins at discharge level.
The installation services four operational intake levels, including the Upper Ground and Levels 1 to 3, with fire‑rated self‑closing eDiverter intake doors installed at each level. This configuration ensures safe operation while maintaining compliance with Australian building standards.
The chute runs vertically through the building without additional transfers, allowing consistent gravity waste flow and minimising long‑term maintenance requirements. An integrated vent and wash‑down cleaning system was installed at Level 3 to support airflow management, odour control, and ongoing hygiene within the chute shaft.
At the Lower Ground discharge room, the system incorporates a minor offset configuration connecting to the eDiverter discharge unit. The eDiverter mechanism directs waste and recycling streams into dedicated 1100L MGB bins, enabling efficient waste separation and organised waste room operations for building management.
